Trained in London at Barts and the Maudsley Hospitals, Consultant Psychiatrist
since 1994. Clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma
related disorders, psychological problems associated with physical illness and
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Espousing a holistic approach to treatment including
up to date pharmacology, psychological therapies (EMDR qualified) and self-management.
In addition to clinical work, expert assessments and reports to solicitors and

Main areas of practice: Cognitive behavioural therapy (NICE guidelines based)
for adults and young people as well as court reports for the Crown, Family and
Youth Courts.
Special interests : Trauma and Stress reduction (EMDR and Hypnosis).
Complex cases requiring assessment and/or therapy, which involve the Mental Health
Act, the Mental Capacity Act (Learning Difficulties), and Youth/ Criminal Justice
( Violence, arson, sexual offending, risk and fitness to stand).

eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR) to adults. Eating Disorder Specialist
- including supervision, consultation and training.
